Me and You

I'm tired of the same sad poem  That flows from my hand so effortlessly  I no longer want to write of a broken home  Or things that will never be.   
I want to write of laughs and smiles  Of all the happy things in life  Of a love that can withstand the miles.  Let's put a rest to strife   
It may be hard and I may really have to try  But I will never let the darkness consume my mind.  For at the end of the horizon is the begining of the sky.  And the stars and moon have always been kind.   
So lets forget the past and start anew.  Let's start a story and title it

You My AngelThe fog consumes my mind.  And without a choice  
I walk through this unclear place.  I can't go packe, you're not there  Maybe you're hiding somewhere up ahead.  Then a surprise, through the mist I see your face.   
Your face I once knew so well  Now changed by the hands of time.  Or prehaps this was a game of fate.  For the face I knew was happy and full of life.  Now it's cold and hard; a face I dont' recognize.  Then you smile softy breaking the barren slate.   
Are you real? Or just a ghost?  Its hard to tell through the obscuring mist.  I must know the truth You My Angel

Inner Questions.Every time I look at you,  you're looking the other way.  When was the last time you saw me?  Could you still tell me my name?  
 
I stare at you.  
So close and yet so very far from me.  The many tears flow down my face.  The tears you cause and are blind to see.   
This is not what I wanted  
But you're everything I've ever dared to dream.   
Maybe there are no "Happily Ever Afters"  Maybe things are supposed to be this way.  I take a small step foward and you don't follow.  
For some reason you're facing the other way.

Love Says Goodbye               The salty breeze of the ocean glided over the waves, adding to the chill in the air that night typically created. The waves were calm, sloshing onto shore rather than crashing. The shore was absent of but two souls. The girl sat in the radiant sand, lit by the moon. Her summery dress dangled over the sand as she brought her knees up and rested her arms and head upon them. The boy stood in front of her, guitar in hand. He looked down at the shell-flaked beach, recalling memories he and this girl shared so long ago. His unfocused vision centered on a heart Love Says Goodbye
