The fog consumes my mind.
And without a choice
I walk through this unclear place.
I can't go packe, you're not there
Maybe you're hiding somewhere up ahead.
Then a surprise, through the mist I see your face.

Your face I once knew so well
Now changed by the hands of time.
Or prehaps this was a game of fate.
For the face I knew was happy and full of life.
Now it's cold and hard; a face I dont' recognize.
Then you smile softy breaking the barren slate.

Are you real? Or just a ghost?
Its hard to tell through the obscuring mist.
I must know the truth...yet you're so far away...
Objects in mist are closer than they appear
Running towards you I forget a common fact
Soon everything is gone. I'm trapped in this abyss.
I scream and you appear. You take my hand and calm me down.
Then I realize something I should have all along:
